About the Vegan Land Trust

Our approach is based on compassionate conservation in which nature & wildlife are put at the centre of conservation decisions, making space for nature and natural processes. Conventional nature conservation practices tends towards high levels of intervention, which includes killing animals such as deer, squirrels, corvids, and others as a means of managing wildlife. We aim to provide a real alternative to these failing practices, and as a progressive movement transform nature conservation in the UK and beyond.

The Vegan Land Trust believes that just as nature has a vital role to play in our lives, we have a responsibility to make space for nature, and to create safe places so that wild animals can live their lives as free as possible from human interference. We want to secure real sanctuaries for nature, and also help other landowners and land-managers be nature friendly and work towards peaceful coexistence with our wildlife.
